The San Francisco Ocean Film Festival is the largest and most eclectic festival of its kind, featuring dozens of documentary, animated and scripted films from around the world. These include short and feature-length looks at sailing, surfing, kayaking and other saltwater sports, plus views of ocean explorations, activists’ environmental efforts and marine animals in action. Festival programs include get-togethers, talks and informal Q&A sessions. It all kicks off with a party from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, February 19 at Aquarium by the Bay with music, dancing and food from top Bay Area restaurants. Volunteer opportunities at the festival are still available.

Advance tickets, at $10 for individual programs, are on sale now through the Cowell Theater Box Office at (415) 441-3400 or online at http://www.oceanfilmfest.org/shop.html. Tickets and passes are also available for the opening night party and the eight film programs. A $110 pass will cover opening night and all programs.
